Word of the Month-Rest

Welcome to the 3rd Month of the Year. It is another Month in the year 2022 that the Lord has saw fit for us to SLIP.. Simply Live In Purpose.

It is my prayer that you and I welcome the things God is doing this Month. I pray you are /I am aware of what God is doing for us again. One of the things I believe God is going to teach us to rest in Him.

I asked the Lord a question, "Lord how is it you want to me share this word "rest", at this time. We are heading to the 3rd month of the year, a new season...I clearly hear him say, "I did not say stop working."

"I want you to rest while your Work".

Rest

Cease work or movement in order to relax, refresh oneself, or recover strength.

Relax

Let up

slow down

Pause

Just like God, when He completed His purpose for the day, that day was over. He ended by saying it was "good" which means He was satisfied with the work of that day.

How often to do you end the day feeling like you are unsatisfied with your accomplishments? Could it be because you are not satisfied with the plan God had for your day? God has given each of of us the same amout of time in each day, but He has not given us the same amount of things to accomplish in a day. If I’m, Most of my weariness comes from comparison. God has given me an assignment, based on my purpose Not anyone else.

Coming to Him and truly seeking Him for the purposes/assignments of the day are essential to "Working while resting." I rest in the fact that He gives me the Work. And when its done. It's over, or its good. Shut it down for the day, Rest!

Food for thought:

You can not be restored if there is no Rest. When we rest from our toiling then God can restore us! However, we have been fooled into thinking the busier we are the more God is pleased with us. This month I believe God wants to show us that Rest is the balance Busy is looking for.

I pray you enjoy the journey this month. I already sense its going to be journey of a life time. We are transitioning into NEW! The Old must Pass away.

The scripture for the Month is Psalms 51:12

Read Psalms 51, 2 Samuel 11&12. Along with the words Rest, Restore, Restoration there is also Repentance. David was dealing with some unrest that caused him to asked to be Restored. Check it out.

So get your face time in. This is nourishing food for your Spirit, which will help you in all other areas, Mind and Body.
