Weariness that leads to Wandering

Weariness is extreme tiredness and fatigue. It is also when we don't have the capacity to experience any more of something.

Stop for a moment and take an assessment of where you are right now. Are you weary in any area of your life? Think about it from the definition given above. I personally believe that weariness can happen when we give too much energy to one thing and not enough energy to another thing. The word balance comes to mind. Sometimes I have all of my energy in one area or all my eggs in one basket even when I know that the basket is breaking. However, I fool myself into thinking the more time I give to the better it will become. Often that's wrong. This is where I find myself wandering into places or spaces that are not healthy. More importantly, wandering to areas that are specifically designed for God.

Wander is to travel aimlessly from place to place.

To wander around trying to fix or solve problems because we think it is in our power is a very dangerous place. I believe this happens when we become tired of waiting or things are not working out as we plan. For me personally, I can get fixated on trying to see what the problem is and how it can be worked out. The solution is always very simple and that is to be led by the Spirit of God. When we are led by the Spirit He gives us directions on what to do and where to go. That brings peace and lifts our burdens. We were never meant to bear the weights of life, just to Love God and keep his commandments,

Get your facetime in today. I believe God wants to give us peace in our minds, body, and soul this season. Rest in Him comes from communing with Him through his word.
