The Freedom to ReSet

Updated: Oct 29, 2021

I have recently learned a very important jewel that I will carry with me the rest of my life. Its the word "ReSet". I first came into personal contact with this word, this time last year, October 2020. Here I am, God has once again brought it back to my remembrance. It is just like God to come in and save me from myself.

Just a little background on how this came about this year, October 2021. It was September, and I began to become overwhelmed with all I was hearing from the Lord, all I was doing, all I was emotionally feeling. In essence I was worn out and afraid of what it would look like to drop everything and run. One day, (just a few weeks ago) I heard the Lord whisper "reset".

"Rest what exactly to you mean Lord, I asked." "I have "set-up" things as I felt like I heard you say. Things that are unfolding, some new some old." So, I asked the Lord to explain.

And so he did. Today I would like to share what the Lord Shared with me in my quiet time. The full explanation will come a few blogs to follow. I want to stop today, to share a little about Freedom.

FREEDOM

First let's get clear on what "Freedom in God" looks like. Freedom by our natural understanding is "the power to act, speak, or think as we want, generally without any hinderances or restraints. Another word used in connection with freedom, is Liberty.

However, when we talk about Freedom in Christ we talk about living in the "abundant life" Christ opened for us. This is our Freedom in Christ. It is where we have uninterrupted, Spirit-sustaining power to do what we know we should do. This happens as a result of the Holy Spirit changing our wants and daily makes all of our God given purpose delightful as we rest in the finish work of Christ. No strain or no press. This is quite the opposite of what I began to feel. Let me make a special note to myself, and perhaps you can take it for yourself.

***When what you do for Christ becomes, burdensome, mundane, unmotivated, unfulfilled, overwhelming, CONFUSING and a host of other words. It maybe time for a ReSet.

I am so grateful that the Lord did not allow me to be consumed, but in fact gave me a way to escape from the misery I was heading into. A few months back we talked about the enemies plan in John 10:10.

So, today, I just want to give you permission to ReSet! Before you let the enemy come in and do more damage, RESET. Don't be so stubborn to get God's will done that you go into over drive. RESET!!! God will show you how.

Join me again, and I will share with you what God shared about each word (listed above) for the RESET! You will certainly be glad you did. I know I am. Today, I sit with more clarity and peace.

Until then, Get your FaceTime in today. Reading God's word is also apart of your ReSET. Think about His Mercy for Today.

Amen,

When I read this I think of how some of us are trying to function for today on yesterday's Mercies & Grace.

We have to allow the LORD to give to us each day what is needed to get through that day.

Each day is different, no day is the same.

Why worry about tomorrow?

For tomorrow has enough worries of it's own.(Matthew 6:34)

RESET!!

For GOD'S mercies are NEW every morning 🌄 (Isaiah 43:19)
