The Call to Freedom

Did you know that we have been called to Freedom? We have been called to a place that has no hinderances or restraints. A place where we have the POWER to act, speak or think as we want according to Gods language and God's way.

If this is true, why do we live our lives in a place of confinement, bondage, and fear. At times even powerless, with out control?

Before we attempt to answer that question, let's pause and reflect on what happened in the beginning.

When God created Man, He created Him with all the freedom He needed to live the life God prepared for Him.

As you read through the end of Genesis Chapter 2 we find that Adam understood his assignment and went on with the business of living his "best life" in the "land of the the Free". Not America, but the garden of Eden. A place that was perfectly prepared for Adam and his wife Eve.

It was man's home and God had equipped Him to keep it. It was the place that God's grace would cover Adam and Eve and allow them to have their choice of anything in the garden, I mean no restrictions, no diet limitations. They live free, except there was just one small thing..."the tree of the knowledge of good and evil". That was the one, singular thing that was off limits.

How did they handle that one thing?

Before we shake our head in disappointed due to Eve's weakness, lets examine our own lives. What has the or is the Enemy tempting you with now, or has tempted you with that has caused you to give up your Freedom?

"You ran well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth? This persuasion does not come fro Him who calls you. A little leaven leavens the whole lump. I am confidence in you, in the Lord that you will have no other mind; but he who troubles you shall bear his judgement, whoever he is." Galatians 5:7-10

The final question, is how can we get our Freedom back.

Its really that Simple! So, I must say to you get your FaceTime in today. Read Genesis Chapter 1-3 embrace how much God loves and prepares our life for us. All we have to do is listen and obey His voice. Our obedience is our resistance to the enemy.
