Today, I am excited to share with you what God has shared with me about the beginning of our Abundant life. It was a reminder for me to take inventory of what I already have been given by God from the Beginning. He saw to it that I would be full and not empty. He saw to it that I would be complete and lack nothing. I better slow down and put this into perspective.
The very first book and chapter of the bible, Genesis 1 says all we need to know about how nGod takes care of us. He creates and prepares. "In the beginning God created..." My first question was why? The answer, "because the earth was without."
Without form, a visible shape or configuration. The earth was without void, it was completley empty. The earth was filled with darkness, which meant partial or total absence of light. As I was reading, God spoke to me and said in the beginning the earth had no purpose. So, I (the Lord) spoke purpose into the earth one day at a time. Purpose, is the reason something or someone exists.
Because my assignment this season it to talk about purpose I immediately made the connection. So, how did God give the Earth purpose? Amazing question? We will need to walk through the first chapter of Genesis. I am going to get it started by pointing out key words for you to take a look at as your read.
First take a look at Geneses 1:3 "Then God said". How did God create an abundant life for us with the creation of the Heavens and the earth? He spoke everything into existance. See verses 3, 9,11,14,20,24,26,29."
The next key word or phase is "Let there be or Let the..." God is speaking into existence what He wants to happen and guess what? It shows up without contest, because he creates or makes it happen.
The next key words are "So God created, God made, God saw, and it was so." Same God then same God now. He is in complete control! Now its your turn. My assignment is just to open up a fresh thought about the beginning of our abundant life. How it came to be.
Do you know how fulfilling it can be to just spend time in God's word. No quick overview, but real time looking at God through is word. Read Genesis Chapter 1 with a pen and a highlighter. Take note of the key words I shared, and find your own. I promise you will see how God cares and provides everything we need.
Remember this month, we are talking about Abundance, or an Abundant life. Look at this Chapter in all the abundance God wants for us even from the beginning. There is no lack when purpose is the assignment. Find your purpose and your will Find God's abundant life.
Just as God created the earth one day at a time, He gives us purpose for each day. Seek the Lord today, through is word, for the purpose He has for you today.
Get your face time in. An abundant life is already awaiting each of us. We must seek it out.
