Take Joy in the Journey...no matter where it leads

Today is the day that the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it. Today is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. Today, we choose joy, no matter where it leads us. Why? Because there is joy and comfort in knowing God is with us. He has not abandoned us, no matter where we find ourselves.

As we bring this month to a close, it is my prayer that God has been able to calm you in the areas you have been weary of. He certainly has been with me the entire month bringing comfort to my weary places and speaking His truth. The "y" in Weary for me represents Yielding. I have learned that sometimes I am so headstrong about something that I forget to yield and really seek the Lord for his thoughts about what I am doing and even my position. I can say without a Shadow of a doubt, even when the enemy tries to cast doubt that God has a plan. Daily He is working that plan out in my life for my good and His Glory. Listen to what Jeremiah 29:11 says from the message bible

10-11 This is God’s Word on the subject: “As soon as Babylon’s seventy years are up and not a day before, I’ll show up and take care of you as I promised and bring you back home. I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.

It is so good to know that God has plans to take care of us, in spite of us, and because is. This phrase helps me to get over myself and connect with God. When we understand this we can choose joy, no matter what. Joy is defined by Merrian Websters as "a feeling or state of well-being and contentment."

As Christians, our joy is knowing that God is with us no matter what. Please note, this does not mean that God is pleased with everything we do and is here to give us a pass. But He is here to give us the Help we need to remain with Him for His purpose and His plan. He is not concerned with our agenda at all.

The story I ask you to look at today for your face time is Jacob at Bethel. You can find it in Genesis 28:10-22. Jacob was in a place where he was resting on a stone. I would think he was a little tired or weary from the prior events, but there Lord assured Jacob, that He was with Him. Read it for yourself and see How God has you covered. Knowing this you can choose joy as a tool or weapon to combat Weariness.
