Re-direct your focus to God's Abundant Life

Updated: Sep 1, 2021

Today, are you struggling with something or someone that seems to consume your thoughts? Do you feel as though you can not escape the person, place, thing, or idea? I can relate. It actually happens to me, when either I am too connected, which means I have an unhealthy connection or I have been dragged into a situation, that I feel I need to fix or control.

Unhealthy

One of the definitions of unhealthy is "not sensible or well balanced. It can be considered abnormal and even harmful.

Today's thought is simply...redirect. It is time to stop allowing our thoughts to consume us. These thoughts can be good or bad. We want to bring them into balance. Let's begin today, by redirecting our thoughts so that we can live in the abundant life God has granted us through Jesus, our Savior and or Redeemer.

Abundant Life begins and ends with a relationship with Jesus Christ. It begins with our desire to want to learn more about our Creator so that we may learn "what on earth" we have been created to do. One thing I want to highlight today, is the fact that we have an enemy. His name is Satan and His purpose steal, kill, and destroy. Steal what? Kill, what? Destroy what? I am so glad you asked.

Satan wants to steal, kill, and destroy the abundant life that Christ came to give us. How? I'm glad you asked that.

One way he does that is by trying to destroy our relationship with God. He wants to bring into question, what was never a question. How does he do it? Subtly! This is why we find ourselves struggling or waring with matters of the heart and the issues of life.

Today, God is calling us to redirect thoughts from the questions the enemy is presenting and stand in the truth God has already spoken. Stop giving our attention to the person, place, thing, or idea we are focusing on and focus on God. Then watch what God does in the process.

It is my prayer today, that God grant us the peace and wisdom we are seeking. If you can, take Time to read Genesis chapter 3 along with the other scriptures and apply them to your life. In what areas has the enemy been robbing you of the Abundant life God has for you.
