Today, I want to bring to the forefront of our minds, this thought..."The Keys to an Abundant life are in my hands". I already possess everything God has for me, I just need to move forward.
I will admit, as God shared this thought with me,there became a mystery, as to what will these keys or this key I have unlock.
The first thing it unlocks is , Salvation. We have the keys to Eternal Life, and that all began and begins with a simple pray of asking Jesus to come into our life. Romans 10:9
Once this confession is complete, it gives us access to the "Keys of the Kingdom". An example of this is what Jesus told Peter, after Peter's confession that He was the Christ Son of the Living God.
The second thing these keys unlock is a relationship with the Father, God. If I have a relationship with My Father, I have all the access I need to live an abundant life. There is no one or nothing that can take this from me.
So, now lets focus in on how this relationship is cultivated. Our relationship with God is cultivated by the following four practices.
#1 studying God's word the Bible. When we study God's word, we are able to see Gods truth and the very essense of who God is and what he has planned for us. I like to say his orginial intentions. Investing in a good bible that gives you some history and background of each book is a good tool to have as you study.
#2 Prayer is our the wireless connection you need to connect with God, anytime, anyplace, and anywhere. We have access to God, with no middle man. I love that I can go directly to God and God cann come diretly to me. Prayer is a two way commuication between my God and myself.
#3 Fellowship with friends. This is so important, I can not even tell you the benefits of having good Christian fellowship. Proverbs 27:17 says as Iron sharpens Iron, so one person sharpens another." We need good Christian friends.
#4 Church and Community are extremely important. We need to assemble with other believers. This is how we are to draw strenghth for the battles ahead. We can get this through church and community. In the time we are living in where we are entrenched in a pandemic, we can reachout to our commuity, when we can not get to our church buildings. Those neighbors or friends who we can count on to study with us, pray with us and encourage us.
These are just a few essential keys God has given us to the abundant life. ."The Keys to an Abundant life are in my hands". I already possess everything God has for me, I just need to move forward.
