Freedom to Reset "Refresh Your Experiences"

Experiences can be defined as "a plural noun which speaks to a particular incident or incidents that have affected you. They are also events you have actually lived through as opposed to an event that was imaged or thought about.

Welcome back, as I share more of this "ReSet 2021" journey. I must say, the more I speak about it, the more insight and peace I gain as sit next to God and Ride. I mentioned in the previous blog we were going to talk next about "refreshing our emotions", but before we refresh our emotions, we must ReSet, by refreshing our experience, so that we attend to the proper emotion.

What does refreshing our experiences look like? For a moment think about what you have experienced, just today, this week, this month, or this year, this decade, this century. How has it affected you? How did it change your life? Was it an unexpected experience you faced?

For me, it looked like going back to God and seeking His wise counsel about the experiences that lead me to the emotions I was feeling. This took some quiet time with God. Also, it took some reflection time. This is when God began to share with me how to "refresh my experiences". It was not my "actual the experience" I was facing, it was my experience with God that needed the refreshing. But the natural reflection time it was led me to my Spiritual reflection with God.

The one particular experience He took me to was, when He showed me "Simply Living in Purpose" over 4 years ago. He wanted me to reflect on the very "essence" of my assignment which was Him, and not what He was calling me to do. "Simply Living in Purpose" was birthed out of my over exposed, over complicated, overwhelming life. It was God taking me on a journey that where he would show me how to pack light. Where He we would give me permission to let go of things and hold on to Him properly.

For a brief moment take look at this Scripture in the book of Joshua

Prior to verse 1 God, is positioning Joshua, mentally, physically, and emotionally for the upcoming task God has for him. It is what he has been conditioned for all of his life. He tells him about the journey, he tells him about the victories and the obstacles, His only position was to "Be Strong and Courageous". His Posture was one of a "obedience".

It is only when we ReSet with God (set again), that he Can refresh the experience the have with Him.

Jehovah Jirah providing everything we need to for the journey, purpose, and assignments. I personally became to involved with the natural experiences that they began to overshadow my experience with God.

*Note to SELF

Sometimes the assignment is tedious and I need to talk to God more frequently, the normal morning pray just won't do it. I Need Thee every Hour, I need Thee.

Therefore, he is sending a refresh, new Strength to commune with Him which lead to a Refreshed experience, not on what he was saying, but what He already said. Not on my situations or circumstances, but on Him. That means to keep it "Simple".

That looks like reordering, prioritizing, getting fresh eyes and a lot of other things. REFRESH...THERE IS something about God's ReSet THAT WILL REFRESH YOU'RE EXPERIENCE with Him, that brings everything else back into alignment.

It is my prayer that you "Refresh your Experience" with God today. It may start with going back to your natural experience which will, if your open and honest, lead you to your spiritual experience.

Get your FaceTime in today. Read Joshua, and see how God was placing His Word in Joshua. A Word that would equip Him for the Destiny and purpose ahead of Him. God reminded Joshua of His past experiences (where God was with Moses) God reminded Joshua He was with Him currently, and God Reminded Joshua that He would be with Him Always.

I bet if you ReSet by Refreshing your Experience, God will share the same with you. Then you can make the necessary adjustments to proceed with peace and Joy.
