As this month started, I heard the Lord say "balance" then I heard Him say focus. My question to God "what do you want me to do with two words, you normally give one". He said put them together. That simple means (to me) to pay attention to all things of God. God's goodness as well as God's Anger. God is good in the fact, that He loves us and wants the best for us. He is there with us in our troubles to help us. However, God has standards, regardless of what is taught God does not let His children get away with being disobedient for long. There are benefits and consequences. However, whether it's good or bad, we can learn something about God. Let's take a look at some of the vs in this Psalms.
Praise to God for His Covenant with David
vs 1 "I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever..."
vs 2 "For I have said, Mercy shall be built up forever, Your faithfulness, You shall establish forever, And build up your throne to all generations."
God speaks
vs 3 "I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn to My servant David:
vs 4 "Your seed will be established forever, And build up your throne forever to all generations"
Psalmist speaks
vs 13 "you have might arm; Strong is Your hand, and high is Your right hand."
vs 14 "Righteousness and justice are the foundations of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face.
God speaks
vs 30 "if his sons forsake my law And do not walk in my law And do not walk in My judgments..."
vs 31 "If they break My statutes And do not keep my commandments, then I will punish their transgressions with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes."
Psalmist speaks
vs 38 "But you have cast off and abhorred, You have been furious with your anointed."
vs 39 "You have profaned his crown by casting it to the ground."
vs 46 "How long, Lord? will You hide forever? Will your wrath burn like fire?
vs 52 "Blessed be the Lord forevermore! Amen & Amen"
This is a very good Psalms, to keep in mind that God is good, but He also gets angry. Just like any parent who gives instruction for the health and safety of their children so does our Father in Heaven. Get your face-time in today. God's word is so amazing. There is so much to learn.
