There is no place like home!!! That is one of my favorite things to say, when I have the opportunity to go back to the places where I have found life. One place in particular was the Church in which I grew up. I remained an active member of the church for over 25 years. Everytime I had the opportunity to return, I remember the feeling of being home was one of the best feelings. Why? It was a place I was familiar with, and people that I knew and that knew me. Where we could catch up with one another, embrace one anthoer. Here in our Psalms today, the Psalmists is expressing How blessed He feels to be in the House of God.
vs 1 "how lovely is our tabernacle, O Lord of Hosts!"
vs 2 "My soul longs, yes even faints For the courts of the Lord; May heart andmy flesh cry out for the Living God
vs 10 "For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand, I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God Than to dwell in the tents of wickedness."
vs 11 "For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly."
I am so glad that God's presence is always available, it can be in a tabernalce, temple, church, most importantly it is within me if I accept Him in my space. Get your facetime in today! Make the connection with this Psalms and remember (no matter what's happening now) to remember how it feels to be with God.
