Face-Time Psalms 80 "A Plea for Restoration"

There are times when life can be really brutal. It seems that during these times it is even hard to sense or feel God's presence. If we sit long enough and if we are honest, the silence or emptiness we experience causes us to get to a place where we can see that maybe some of our decisions have not been in accordance with God's purpose for our life, which is to give Him honor and Glory. We may start giving him Glory with our lives, however, things can get twisted really fast. Today's Psalms is asking for restoration so that the favor this community once had, will be restored. He begins, by establishing who God is, I would say for his own benefit. Again, trouble can make you come back to your rightful position, which in turn will allow you to seek others' positions with corrected lenses.

Seeking God's Ear

vs 1 "Give ear, O Shepherd of Isreal, You who lead Joseph like a flock: You who dwell between the cherubim, shine forth!

vs 2"...stir up your strength, And come and save us!

vs 3 "Restore us, O God, Cause Your face to shine, And we shall be saved!"

vs 4 "O Lord God of Hosts, How long will You be angry Against the prayer of Your people?"

vs 5 "You have fed them with the bread of tears, to drink in great measure.

I pray your get your facetime in today. Remembering the importance of God and your need for Him Always.
