Let's jump right into today, look at what an oppressor looks like. An oppressor is defined as an individual or a group of individuals who exercise authority or power over someone in a harsh way. and oppressor can be a disagreeable person an unpleasant person, authoritarian, or dictator-like in personality. This is what the Psalmist, is talking to God about today.
All of us at some point, have experienced this type of abusive behavior. It's really bad when you can not escape it, and it seems like God allows this to go on for eternity. To me, it appears the Psalmists are saying enough is enough, God, come on and do something about this.
vs 1 "O God, why have You cast us off forever?
vs 1 "Why does Your anger smoke against he sheep of Your Pasture?"
vs 2 "Remember Your congregation"
vs 3 "The tribe of your inheritance...
vs 9 "We do not see signs; There is no longer any prophet;
vs10 "O God, how long will the adversary reproach?
Sounds like the there is a desparate plea for God to come now! I love the transparency that He has. I just believe God loves our honesty. God is not concerned about what we say ( I believe) just that we connect with Him, more than our neighbors or our situation. Have a little talk with Jesus today, tell Him all about your trouble. He will hear your faintest cry, and He will answer by and by.
