Face-Time Psalms 73 "God is Good, therefore I Trust!"

Blessed Sunday Morning to each of you! Did you know "God is Good"!!! I like to use the phrase "in spite of and because of ". This Psalms (in my opinion) explains my phrase perfectly. I would ask the question, have you ever struggled within yourself as you looked outside of yourself? I know its not something we like to admit, or maybe you do. Let's look take a quick peek into Pslams 73. I think this Psalmist's Transparency is impeccable. I can relate, can you?

God is Good...

vs 1 "Truly God is good to Israel, To such as are pure in heart"

The temptation to be envious

vs. 2 But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled; My steps had nearly slipped

vs 3 "For I was envious of the boastful,

vs 3 "When I saw the prosperity of the wicked"

Why the wicked are attractive

vs 4 "there are no pangs in their death, but their strength is firm"

vs 5 "they are not in trouble as other men"

vs 5 "nor are they plagued"

vs 6 "their pride serves as their necklace"

vs12 "behold these are ungodly, who are always at ease; They increase in riches

Comparision (a look within)

vs 13 "Surely I have cleansed my heart in vain..."

vs 14 "For all day long I have been plagued, and chastened every morning.

Moment of Truth

vs 16 "When I thought how to understand this, It was too painful for me-"

vs 17 "Until I went into the sanctuary of God; THEN I UNDERSTOOD THEIR END

God is Good

vs 18 Surely You set them in slippery places; You cast them down to destruction

vs 20 "As a dream awakes, So, Lord, when you awake, You shall despise their image"

There is so much more to this Psalms. However, the point today, is "The struggle is Real" and at times, we find ourselves "entertaining" the temptations around us. But there is a way back, God's word, God's sanctuary, God's people. Don't neglect any of these things, we need them All, to keep ourselves from wandering. But when it happens just get back to the "Truth" God's truth. Get your face-time in with these Psalms.
