"God My Deliverer Make Haste"
Have you ever needed an escape? The need to escape can bring the best of us to our Knees. Now while we are on our knees what will we do. In our most desperate state, if are willing the Holy Spirit will guide us to "God our deliverer". If God is our Deliver, what are we really saying?
In Hebrew, the word deliverer means "to (cause to) escape" to carry away safely. This is so good to me. Our God, the one we call on causes us to escape and carries us away safely. OMG!!! Just think about it...
In our Psalmist helps us to realize, how desperate he is for God's help. He uses the phrase
"MAKE HASTE" 3 times.
vs 1 Make haste, O God, to deliver me!
vs 1 Make haste to help me, O Lord!
vs 5 Make haste to me, O God.
He goes on to say why He needs God, His deliverer. Read it for yourself, it's a really quick read. Make it personal why in certain areas of your life and my life is there a need for God our deliverer? What has become an enemy, an opposing force against you? Be, honest so the God our Deliverer can come in and do what he does best, "cause us to escape and carry us away"!
