Blessed, Happy, or favored! Blessing, special favor, or mercy extended to someone.
What does a blessing look like to you and me? Are we familiar with God's intention when He chooses to bless us? This is all good food for thought this morning. Today, let's just explore a little bit of what and why blessings are extended to us. The Psalmist this morning, does an amazing job (in my opinion) of addressing God in regards to a blessing.
vs 1 "May God be gracious to us and bless us' may he make his face to shine upon us, so that your way may be known on the earth, your salvation among all nations."
How we respond to the blessing
vs 3 "Let the peoples praise you"
vs 4 "Let the nations rejoice and shout for joy"
Results of receiving a blessing and blessing (praising) God
vs 6 "The earth has produced its harvest"
vs 7 "God will bless us, and all the ends of the earth will fear him.
Get some facetime in today. I believe God is saying we should review how we see His blessings.
