Don't you just love how this opens? Words like "earnestly", "search" "my soul thirsts", parched", "weary land", "no water"! I don't know about you, but after the last year we have had, and this one beginning just like the last one ended, I have found myself "earnestly searching" for God in a way, I probably have never searched for him. Searching for his guidance, his direction, his comfort, his provision, his approval, his wisdom. And I can honestly say, as thirsty as I have been, he never ran out of His ability to "quench my thirst". Now, his quenching my thirst would be amazing in and of itself, however, I have found that he was quenching the thirst of those around me. And here is the next level of that, he gave me an abundance supply so that I could help others get enough so that they would turn to him for their personal fill-ups.
I am telling you, we serve an amazing God. One who will never disappoint us.
