Face-Time Psalms 51"Lord Have Mercy"

Happy Saturday to you! Today, we have the privilege of pouring our hearts out to God. We have (if we take advantage ) this sacred opportunity to align ourselves anew with God.

Have you ever needed a good cleansing? Think for a moment, you have gone as long as you can go with this secret. Let's be real, it happens to us all at some time in our life. It could be as simple as being in the wrong place at the wrong time, which created this huge "defilement" that now has your entire life out of sync. There is nothing like a good cleansing or confession to God. This is what the writer of this Psalms had done. I love the fact that the bible is filled with humans, not superheroes. It gives me great confidence that my God is connected with me, in my wrong (sin). Don't ever forget we have a pathway back. God is always open and waiting...Look at what the journey back looks like...

Sincerity

vs. 1 "Have Mercy upon me, O God..."

vs 2 "Blot out my transgressions"

vs 2 "Wash me thoroughly from my transgressions"

vs 2 "Cleans me"

Ownership

vs 4 "Against You, You and only,m have I sinned And done this evil"

vs 6 "You desire truth in the inwards parts...."

Cleansing Action

vs 7 "Purge me"

vs 7 "Wash me"

vs 8 "Make me hear joy and Gladness"

There is so much more to this. Take time to meditate on these Psalms. Let us not continue to allow pride or shame to continue to block the peace God has for us. "If we confess our sin's, God is Faithful and just to cleanse us..." (1 John 1:9)
