Face-Time Psalms 46 "God is..."

vs. 1 "God is our refuge and stregnth...

very present Help

vs. 5 "God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved"

vs. 7 "God is with us"

As I sit today, February 15, 2021 I will always remember the effects of thewords of this Psalms. Here in central Texas, we are experienceing, "unprecedent times"! This word has been a "catch phrase" sense 2020. The phrase is still pressing its way into 2021. According to the meterolgists, the weather we are experiencing here in Texas has never been recorded before, "unprecedent times".

I was awakend this morning to the sound of my phone ringing. I was clueless to what the sound was as I was in a deep sleep due to medication I had taken the night before for a headache. When I finally realized what was happening, the phone had stopped ringing. Then I noticed that our electricity was out. We were experiencing the rolliong black out that they said would happen. What should have been on forty minutes ended up being eight hours.

As I watched, the night before, I was praying for the people, we were experiencing, what our family was now experience. Already, in prayer mode, I remembered, today was the day, we would read Psalms 46. "God is our refuge and strenghth a very present help in the time of trouble". I believe God sent the call to warn me to take care of some basic things, like fill water pots, get blanks, and pray.

Thank God for being a "present help" Present meaning, "existing or occurring now". This is why the Lord is calling for Facetime. There will be many more days like this, and I'm not just speaking about "Artic weather", but times when situations are beyond our control. Knowing who God is and what God will do ... Get your face-time in today.
