Our face time Psalms begins with "Remembering God's Redemption" while the Psalmist is in a bad situation. He speaks of his memory of what God did in the past, almost as if He is needing to see those victories right now.
vs. 2 "you drove out the nations with your hands"
vs. 3 "you planted.. "they did not gain possession over the land with their own sword..Because you favored them."
But, there is a "But"...
vs. 9 "But you have cast us off and put us to shame"
vs. 10 "You make us turn back from our enemies..."
vs. 11 " You sell your people next to nothing"
Oh, but wait, there is yet another "But"
vs. 17 "All this has come upon us, But we have not forgotten YOU..."
I encourage you to walk through these Psalms to highlight those good things God has done. In order to keep balance, highlight those things the Psalmist is saying the Lord is doing now.
Every day we experience the good and the bad life. I like to say some days I win and some days I lose. But just remember win or lose God is with us. He will give us strength for the journey. Just Pray & Wait!
