Thank God for another Friday, where we take the opportunity to Pray and Praise on purpose. Did you know that Praise is apart of our prayer, and prayer is apart of our praise? Just a little food for thought. Connect to the two to get the full experience!
Our Psalms today, Psalms 43, a Prayer to God in the Time of trouble. Here lately it seems the Psalmists are always in some kind of trouble. Can you relate? In some seasons, it seems like if it's not one thing, it is another. I can vividly remember this season. It probably began in 2001 and lasted for well over a decade. Mom, dad, children, house, cars, career, and probably even a piece of my mind if I'm honest. So, I can relate to any kind of emotional whirlwind you can experience with God and yourself. I encourage you to read it for yourself you will see he begins with a Powerful statement
vs. 1 "Vindicate me, O God" or declare me innocent God.
vs. 2 "For you are the God of my strength:"
vs. 3 "Send out your light and Your truth"
These are just a few requests the Psalmist has, then he moves to the praise portion
vs.5 "Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, the Help of my countenance and my God".
Get your face time in today, and allow God to lift you as you in turn Give Him the Praise that is due him for being your strength, and present help in the time of your trouble.
