Face-Time Psalms 37

Happy Saturday! Here is a great phrase to add to your weekend conversation, "Fret Not", or Do Not fret! In my opinion, "Fret" takes anxiety to another level. I can personally become so anxious about something that it eats at me, agitates me, and even disturbs my peace. When I'm not at peace, neither is my household. That is not what the Lord has for me. As I read Psalms 37 today, I found that it was refreshing. I encourage you to read it. You will discover It repeats the phrase "Fret Not" three times, in verse1, 7, and 8.

So, what can you and I replace "Fret" with? This Psalms gives some basic replacements, many of which you already know:

vs. 3 "Trust in the Lord, and do good"

vs. 4 "Delight in the Lord"

vs. 5 "commit your ways to the Lord"

vs. 7 "Rest in the Lord"

vs. 8 "Cease from anger"

I like to say it like this "change your mind, Change your life". "Change your perspective, Change your life". This happens when we spend time in God's Word. Seeing things from God's perspective will change how you and I see the things in our lives. So, take a moment to meditate on Psalms 37. Read the entire Psalms, and highlight words and phrases that will help you turn your thoughts around. Take it a step further and write them down. You will find "Fret" begins to Vanish, and Faith will begin to settle.
