Face-Time Proverbs 6 "Wisdom in making Promises"

Have you ever made a promise you could not keep? Have you ever made a promise you really had no intention of keeping, simply because you were in over your head and needed a way out quickly? God is a Promise keeper and he expects us to do the same. As I was reading, falling in debt is a really big "No".

Here is what Wisdom says "do not rest until you have fulfilled your obligation. I love the specifics of the wording...

vs 3 "So do this, my son, to free yourself, since you have fallen into your neighbor’s hands: Go—to the point of exhaustion—and give your neighbor no rest!"

vs 4 "Allow no sleep to your eyes, nor slumber to your eyelids."

vs 5 "Free yourself, like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, like a bird from the snare of the fowler."

After this point, it shares about the Ant. The Ant has the type of work ethic God is looking for in his children.

vs 6 "Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise!"

There is so much wise counsel in this proverb. Take a look at it for yourself. One of the "shock and awe" for me was the 7 things God hates. They are something to keep in mind at all times.
