Face-Time Proverbs 30 "The Mystery of Wisdom"

A mystery is something that is almost impossible to explain. Not only is wisdom hard to explain, but it's also hard to comprehend. Oftentimes wisdom is so close to us we miss it because we are looking to or looking at the wrong models. Maybe that's one of the reasons James said in his book,

I must admit this is one of my favorite Proverbs. I think I like it because it takes the perspective of someone who was not born into the family of God but became a part of the family. This particular proverb was not written by Solomon, but Agur. You can see his writing is different. He writes more from a place of not being sure of certain things but fascinated by others. He takes note of some very interesting things in nature. However, for me, my connection is his ability to honestly and boldly speak of the things he is not sure about as well as those things in which he is clear to him. Then, he makes a bold request from God. Let's take a look at a few things, I observed

vs 2 "Surely I am more stupid than any many, And do not have the understanding of a man."

vs 3 "I neither learned wisdom Nor Have knowledge of the Holy One."

vs 5 "Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him."

vs 6 "Do not add to His word, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar."

Request

vs 7 "Two things I request of You (Deprive me not before I die):"

vs 8 "Remove falsehood and lies far from me; Give me neither poverty nor riches. Feed me with food allowed to me,"

vs9 "Lest I be full and deny you, And say, "Who is the Lord? Or lest I be poor and steal and profane the name of the God.

There is so much to ponder on in these Proverbs. Get your face time in for yourself and see what God is unveiling to you.
