Face-Time Proverbs 26 "Wisdom Pays attention to detail"

Do you consider yourself to be a detailed individual? You make it a point to cross every "T" and dot every 'I". You see things others miss and often it allows for you to stand out, sometimes for good and sometimes not. For me, I would have to say it all depends. Sometimes I can see details in others or other things, but not always when it comes to myself.

For the majority of my life, I have been able to see things, others did not or were not willing to see. I remember at the age of 16 praying for wisdom, and oh my did I get what I was asking for, however, it did come with a cost. This is why I can fine-tune my ears to hear what Solomon has written in the Proverbs. Wisdom comes with a price tag. "But the truth and do not sell it, Also wisdom and instruction and understanding" (Proverbs 23:23)

When you ask for wisdom and God gives you, what will you do? For a while, I would utilize it, until it became inconvenient. What I mean by inconvenient, is that it began to cost too much. It was too much of a fight or It caused way too much isolation. So I would dial back the details the Holy Spirit was clearly showing me and began to act like the details did not matter, or maybe I was being extra.

Then the day came, that I began to understand, that I had willingly traded the wisdom of God for the foolishness of men. And this cost way more than God's Wisdom ever did. So, today, I say it is necessary for God's children to pay attention to the details he is showing us. Let's begin today. Here are a few things to jump-start the process. Look at a few details of wisdom Solomon is giving today.

vs 1 "As snow in summer and rain in harvest, So the honor is not fitting for a fool."

vs 10 "The Great God who formed everything Gives fools his hir3e and the transgressor their wages."

vs 11 "As a dog returns to his own vomit, So a fool repeats his folly."

vs 12 "Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him."

vs 20 "Where there is no wood, the fire goes out; And where there is no talebearer, strife ceases".

vs 23 "Fervent lips with a wicked heart Are like earthenware covered with silver dross."

Let us pay attention to what God has to say through the writer of these Proverbs, Solomon. We will be able to spare ourselves so much grief.

*a fool is someone who acts unwisely. Someone who is willing to decieve.
