What does it mean to choose Christ? The answer is Simple, Surrender. The answer was made very clear and super simple by Jesus Himself. " Then Jesus went to work on his disciples. ' Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You’re not in the driver’s seat; I am. Don’t run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I’ll show you how. Self-help is no help at all.'" (TheMessage Bible)
Let's look at what surrender can look like for us. First of all, I would challenge each of us to see it as or take it one day at a time. Don't think for one moment that when you accepted Christ, you gave your all to Christ. I personally believe that's when we began to find out about ourselves. According to the scripture, if we lose our lives, we will find it.

That actually spells out surrendered. Which is our end game. However, we must surrender daily to the will of Christ. Our understanding will come with Reading the scriptures to understand what God is like and what He requires of us so that we can be our best selves. Let's read Proverbs 18 today. There are so many nuggets to help us with the release we need. Releasing our control over to God. Here are a few of my favorite verses from this chapter
vs 1 " A man who isolates himself seeks his own desires: He rages against all wise judgement.
vs 9 "He who is slothful in his work Is a brother to him who is a great destroyer.
vs 10 "The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous runn to it and are safe"
