Do we really believe that God is everywhere? Do we believe God sees everything? If I'm honest, I am not thinking about God like that. I only see what I see and exist where I exist. Oh my, saying that out loud brings about a truth of why my thoughts are what they are.
A few years ago introduced to the phrase "perspective is everything." This became the central theme for me "freedom journey". Just saying that out loud opened me up to the possibilities that maybe some of my thoughts needed to be altered or perhaps I need to "think a new thought" (a message I shared with a church in 2015). This changed my life forever. Sometimes as we mature, we fail to give room for our thoughts and perspectives to mature along with us. We keep seeing things the same way we did when were where children or at younger stages in our life.
Imagine that!!! Adulting from a Child's mindset and or perspective. What limits we can place on ourselves. I think this important when thinking about God's presence. God is everywhere and He sees everything. As a child, I would try and hide things I was doing so my mom would not find out. As an adult, I began to see that habit still carried over. Therefore I had the license to do what I wanted in my dark places. Today's Proverbs, says otherwise. Wisdom knows that God is with us right now. If we know truly tap into that knowledge, how will behave today. Will we speak to him as if he is here with us? Will we pray for directions so we know what he expects from us today?
Get your face time in today and see what nuggets you can glean from. Keep in mind as you are reading God sees your heart, and He knows exactly what you are willing to accept and reject. He is also waiting to help.
