Rabboni means master, teacher. It is used as a Jewish title of respect applied specifically to spiritual instructions. Rabboni is the most honorable name. Jesus, Rabboni is our teacher. As Mary was stricken with grief, she recognized Jesus voice and called out to Him, Rabboni. I can image her wanting him at that moment to teach or instruct her how to deal with all the emotions she was feeling, all of the Newness. Today, we can call on Rabboni, to teach us how to deal with life's biggest problems.
We call on Rabboni to teach us all we need to know about the Father in heaven.
Also how grateful she must have been when He gave her the next steps. Nothing like Jesus ordering our steps, when we don't know which way to go.
Jesus our True Vine is establishing our connection with Him, along with our relationship with Him. If we are going to relate with Him there must first be a connection. He Makes himself clear in John chapter 15, who we are and who He is. Jesus is the vine, we are branches and if we remain in we are nourished and sustained. In addition to being nourished and sustained, we bear fruit and thrive.
That is so good. Knowing where my source comes from is important and it takes a great deal of pressure and stress away. And the fact, that I have sustainable help. Glory to God!
As I continue to encounter the different names of Jesus, some I am familiar with and some I am not, My understanding and my relationship have ben expounded. It's like Jesus is on repeat but in different versions of Himself, but the characteristics are the same. He is God.
Thank you Jesus for showing me a different way to learn of you. Today, the name Rabboni reminded me in a special way that you are the instructor for my life. That name is used as an honorable title, and that‘s just who you are, my Honorable instructor. Thank you for the name "True Vine" all I can think about is Truth. There is no variable in truth. Thank you for being consistent in my Life even when I didn't know it. Thank you for the divine connection I have with you. In Jesus name Amen.
